A Marie Brumfield, 95 formerly of Pembroke, VA departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father October 24, 2020 in the care of Highland Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Dublin, VA. Born August 24, 1925, in Bousivein, VA she was a daughter of the late William Franklin and Myrtle Bailey Franklin.

She was a homemaker who took pride in her cooking and gardening. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Pearisburg, VA.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Charles Phillip Brumfield; her brothers, Lenis, Junior, and Swanston; sisters, Mary Hart, Edna Neice of Bluefield, and Loraine Brown of Frankfort, KY; and a son-in-law, Tim Blevins.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Samuel and Wanda Brumfield of Pembroke; daughters, Susan Blevins of Wytheville, and Sharyn and Stanley Lang of Pembroke; a brother, Jimmy Franklin of Bluefield, WV; grandchildren, Charlie and Sharon Brumfield, Beth Brumfield, Joe and Jackie Brumfield, and Chad and Kristi Parcell; special niece Judy Jennings; and numerous great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service conducted Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Pastors Buddy Beavers and Eddie Kendall officiating in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke, VA. A graveside service will follow at Birchlawn Burial Park. Family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
