Agatha Lee Sanders, 74, of Pearisburg, departed this life Sunday evening June 17, 2007 at Franklin Healthcare Center in Rocky Mount, VA. Born at Kerns in Giles County on July 20, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Maude Mae Niece Martin. She was retired from Oxford Industries in Pearisburg as an inspector. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Winfred Sanders, two brothers Junior Martin and Curtis Martin, two sisters Gladys Shaver and Lila Mae Niece.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son and daughter-in-law Winfred Lee "Buddy" and Rhonda Sanders of Narrows; three daughters and sons-in-law Betty and Paul Aker of Rocky Mount, VA, Brenda and Said Shama of Pearisburg, VA, Judy and Frank LaCorte of Gouldsboro, PA; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers Kermit Martin and Jimmy Martin; five sisters Susie Merrix, Marie Snider, Linda Perkins, Bonnie Robertson, and Juanita Lovern.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
