Alberta "Bertie" White Kidd, 95 formerly of Pembroke, VA departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on March 17, 2022 in the care of St Joes Hospice-Tampa.  Born in Giles County, VA on October 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Beverly and Bessie Fuller White.

Bertie practiced her faith in attendance of the Pembroke First United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Bertie is preceded in death by her husband Buford Kidd; and siblings, Junior White, Hortense Robertson, Margaret Sharpe, and Lee White.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her son, James Kidd (Debra Sher) of Tampa, FL; daughter, Judy Griffin (Lee) of Durham, NC; a grandson, Michael Kidd (Caitlin); and a great-grandson, Logan Kidd.
