Aldon Albert Porterfield, 75 of Newport, VA departed this life at his home on April 27, 2022 in the care of his family.  Born in Giles County, VA on January 19, 1947, he was a son of the late Aldon and Claudia Wickline Porterfield.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Cecil Porterfield.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his wife, Brenda Myers Porterfield; daughter, Bridget Menighine (Jacob); and sisters, Delia Arrington of Christiansburg, Florence Montgomery of Christiansburg; and Martha Umberger of Pembroke.
