Alison Lee Cox, 43, of Blevins Road, Narrows, departed this life Sunday morning, March 27, 2011. Born in Radford on December 15, 1967, she was a daughter of Charlotte Porterfield McMahan of Newport and the late Bobby McMahan. Alison was a member of Bethel Chapel Church at Clendennin and a partner with her husband in operating Cox's Decorative Concrete. She was a graduate of Giles High School and New River Community College.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband David Lee Cox; her mother Charlotte McMahan of Newport; her son Michael Cumbee of the home; her step-daughters Jennifer Cox and Hayleigh Cox both of Ballard, WV; her sisters Lori Porterfield of Newport and Teresa Zirkle and her husband James "Country" of Pembroke; her mother-in-law Margaret Ellison of Narrows; her sister-in-law Laura Holdren of Narrows; her niece and nephews Maggie Holdren of Narrows, Josh Holdren of Narrows, and Dylan Johnston of Pembroke; and her beloved dogs, Diesel and Pie.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Bethel Chapel Church at Clendennin near Narrows with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows.
