Alma Mae Jackson, 49, of Radford died Monday morning October 23, 2006 in a house fire at her home on West Street. Born in Radford on July 27, 1957 she was a daughter of the late Andrew L. and Hattie Banks Jackson. She attended First Baptist Church in Radford near her home and had been employed with Sun Trust Bank. Surviving are two uncles Ernest Banks of Virginia Heights, Pearisburg and William Banks, Guinea Mt., Pearisburg , a cousin Shirley Banks Johnson of Virginia Heights, Pearisburg, and a close friend Ivory Lewis. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church in Radford with the Pastor, Rev. C. Coles Casey officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery at Fairlawn in Pulaski County. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services. The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke is serving the Jackson family.
