Anita Louise Masterson Parker, 75 of Pembroke, VA departed this life December 7, 2022.  Born in Somerset, Kentucky, Anita was the daughter of the late Robert and Doris Louise Masterson.

Anita was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who also worked briefly as a telephone operator, solderer, and library assistant. When she had spare time, Anita enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, and visiting state and local parks.

In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Parker; and sister, Sandra Angel.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her son, John Robert Parker (Cello) of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Amy Kucsak (Michael) of Blacksburg, Virginia and Kristin Martin of Salem, Oregon; and sister Sue Corpening (Harry) of North Carolina. She is fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Xander Kucsak; Seth Godbey; Ivy, Violet, Iris, and Rose Martin; a great-grandson, Damien, and her nieces and nephews.
