Annie Mae Parks, 81, of Pembroke departed this life Sunday evening, May 19, 2013, in Heartland Nursing Home in Adelphi, Maryland. She was born May 28, 1932 in Giles County, a daughter of the late Savannah Parks. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pembroke.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her cousins Doris Shipman and her husband LeRoy who had been her caretakers for the last seventeen years, Evangelist Dan Parks of Pembroke and numerous cousins and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Pembroke at 1:00 pm Saturday May 25, 2013 with Pastor James Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church, Pembroke, Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
