Arthur D. Brown, 62, of Narrows departed this life Wednesday morning July 22, 2009 at his home. Born in Princeton, WV on November 6, 1946 he was a son of the late Raymond P. and Mary Broyles Brown. He had been employed at R J Mine Services and filled his life with his love for his children, grandchildren and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Nellie Ann Brown and Janice B. Ferguson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Kathy Brown; his son Adam Brown of Lerona, WV; his daughters and sons-in-law Annissa and Gary Dudding of Pembroke, Regina Brown of Athens, Debrina and Brad Lester of Lerona, Katrina and Charles Angell of Athens; two brothers and sisters-in-law T W and Shirley Brown of Oakvale, Jackie and Patricia Brown of Oakvale; two sisters and brothers-in-law Hazel and Sonny Hicks of PA, Bonnie and Jim Forbes of Chicago IL; fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his special dogs, Sophie and Puppy.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
