Barbara Jean Dunn, 68 of Sharp Street, Pearisburg, VA died Sunday, June 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Giles County on December 27, 1948 she was the daughter of the late James Frank Hammons and Ida Harrell Hammons. She was previously employed by Virginia Tech in the housekeeping department.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson Devin Chey Janney and a brother Frankie Hammons.

Survivors include her husband Donald Ray Dunn. One daughter, Tammy Burton her husband Allen of Pearisburg; Grandchildren, Russell Dunford, III, Tiffany Burton, Ciara Burton and Allie Burton;

Great grandchild, Aidyn Martin;

Brother, Jimmy Hammons and his wife Joann of Newport. Special friend, Beth LaPaige Myers;

Niece, Regina Harless and nephew Blake Hammons also survive.
