Betty Annie Compton, 79, of Radford, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Mrs. Compton was born on September 5, 1941 in Elliott, VA. to the late Leonard and Gladys Nolley Wood. Along with her parents Mrs. Compton is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Phillips and her siblings, Fred Wood, Leon Wood and Mary Elizabeth Wood.

Mrs. Compton is survived by her daughters, Wanda Compton and Janet Dowdy, her siblings, Margie Lawrence, Dothery Bishop, Bill Wood and Joe Wood, her 3 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and sister Ruth Booth.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in the Northfork Baptist Church Cemetery at 905 Lusters Gate Rd. Blacksburg, Virginia 24060.
