Betty Joyce Pangborn, 81, of Gale Road, Pearisburg, departed this life quietly at her home Wednesday morning, December 12, 2012. Born in Giles County on July 24, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Walter Harve (Bud) and Leila Poff Link. She was preceded in death by a brother Stewart Link and a sister Judy L. Breen.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son Noah A. (Bud) Slaughter of the home in Pearisburg; nephews Victor Link, Billy Breen and a neice and her husband Angie and Sherman Harvey all of Newport.
