Billy Eugene Carbaugh, 63, of Village St. in Eggleston died Sunday evening at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Eggleston on June 30, 1941 he was a son of the late Fred William and Pauline Vaught Carbaugh. He was retired from Virginia Lime Co. at Kimballton and was a beloved friend to the whole Eggleston Community. He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Alice Carbaugh and a brother Charles Carbaugh.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of forty-one years, Irene Fontaine Carbaugh; a son and daughter-in-law Michael and Mary Jane Carbaugh of Eggleston; two daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Marvin Wright of Pearisburg, Patricia and Frankie Broyles of Eggleston; seven grandchildren Michael Shane Carbaugh, Sarah Carbaugh, Wesley Wright, Hunter Carbaugh, Jacob Broyles, Rachel Broyles, Madison Wright; four brothers Bobby Carbaugh of Pembroke, Lynwood Carbaugh of Eggleston, Matthew Carbaugh of Eggleston, Leon Carbaugh of Pembroke.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
