Brandon Shane Lucas, 26, of Newport departed this life Friday, August 17, 2012 at his home. Born in Montgomery County on April 4, 1986 he was a son of Jennifer Britts Lucas of Pembroke and Ricky Allen Lucas of Newport. He was employed with Munday Construction Company at the Celanese Plant.

He is survived by his parents, his paternal grandparents Donald and Martha Lucas of Pearisburg; and his maternal grandmother Jo Ann Miller of Pembroke.
