Carol Jean Ross, 74 of Pearisburg, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at her home. Carol was born in Pearisburg on September 24, 1945 to the late William G. and Orpha Lee Clyburn Ratcliffe. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, JoAnn Williams and Hazel Montgomery.

Carol was a dispatcher with the Giles County Sheriff's office for many years until she later became an Administrative Secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Allen B. Ross of Pearisburg, her son, Glen Ross and Tracy Midkiff of Pearisburg, grandson, Jonathan Ross and his wife, Wei Lu; and sister, Susan Lynn Pugh and husband George of Burnt Chimney, VA. special aunt, Betty Oakley and husband Jim.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Ratcliffe Family Cemetery in Pearisburg with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating.
