Carolyn Hope Humphreys, 73, of Glen Lyn, VA departed this life Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her home. Born in Glen Lyn on January 3, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Charles Albert and Icey Mildred Harmon Meadows. She had been employed for over twenty years as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Pearisburg, VA. She was the queen of bingo and enjoyed her bingo buddies so much. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Alvin, Howard, and Dwight Meadows.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law Roberta Lee and Dean Kipps of Blacksburg; her grandchildren Katrennia Lampey and Travis Rust; her great-grandchildren Adreanna Ratcliffe, Kasse Doby, Kharma Rust, Cayden Arnold, Abigail Rust, and Kane Rust; and her sister Charldene Mildred Fortner of Peterstown, WV.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 11, 2018 in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
