Chandra "Candy" Manning, 39 of Pembroke, VA departed this life to be reunited with her parents in Heaven, June 30, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer,  and in the loving care of her family.  Born July 28, 1981, she was a daughter of the late Rickie and Debra Reed Manning.

Candy was a proud graduate of the Giles High School Class of 1999.  A servant at heart, after years of work at Moog she became a private caregiver.  However, her servant heart was best shown in the relationship she had with her children and grandson, living this mission fully out at a recent family trip to Daytona Beach, Florida.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her sons, Jacob Burton (fiancée, Tiffany Freeman), Anthony Burton, and Mason Burton; a grandson, and her pride and joy, Carter Burton; brothers, Chris Manning (Megan) of Buena Vista, and Josh Manning (fiancée, Chrissy Duncan) of Pembroke; nieces and nephews, Kaylee Manning, Oaklyn Manning, Brayden Manning, Jaelyn Manning, and Aryana Manning; and a special aunt and uncle, Luther and Charlene Reed.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Reed Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday July 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke, VA.  While the family appreciates flowers, they also suggest memorial contributions be made to offset funeral expenses in Candy's memory.  A guestbook is available by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com .  The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to be serving the Manning Family.
