Charles Randolph Atkins, 78 of Curve Road, Pearisburg, departed this life Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2012 at his home in the loving care of his family. Born in Vivian, WV on September 1, 1934 he was a son of the late Earnest E. Sr. and Mary Jane Wilson Atkins. Charlie was a master mechanic having worked at several local garages and for himself. He was preceded in death by a son Randy Atkins, three brothers and three sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Margaret Ingram Atkins; his daughter "Trish" Patricia A. Weatherly of Pearisburg; his brother Clyde Atkins of Pearisburg; his grandchildren Heather Annandale, Ashley Jones, Felicia Tabor; and his great-grandchildren Courtney Meredith, Cameron Meredith, Carrie Meredith, Faith Ann Tabor, Walker Tabor, Bram Tabor, Isaac Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
