CHARLES ANTHONY CHAPMAN "CHARLIE", 50, of Cascade Drive in Pembroke, departed this life Monday evening, February 13, 2017 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg after a protracted illness. Born in Pearisburg on December 2, 1966 he was a son of Charles Chapman and the late Mary Lois Hoston Chapman. Charlie was a 1984 graduate of Giles High School and was disabled from his work at VPI Skelton Center. He was preceded in death by his mother and his sister Pequita Hoston.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of sixteen years (married on Feb 14, 2001 Valentines Day) Melina Sanders Chapman; his son Charles Isaiah Chapman of the home; his brothers Tim Chapman and Tony King both of Pembroke; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Michael Hoback of the Pembroke Assembly of God church officiating. Burial will be in Horseshoe Cemetery in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 pm before the services.
