Charles Lowe Harvey, 80 of Newport, VA departed this life Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in the care of his loving family and Good Samaritan Hospice. Born in Giles County, VA on February 6, 1940, he was a son of the late Charles and Irma Bowyer Harvey.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vivian Link, Frieda Price; and brothers, Jim Harvey, Jack Harvey and Mike Harvey.

Left to cherish his memory are a "special son" Jeffrey Harvey (Cherie Wassman) of Newport; a brother, Gary Wayne Harvey of Newport; sisters, Lois Harvey Price of Blacksburg, and Ola Faye Craighead; grandchildren, Brandon Harvey and Larry Ward; and great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral service conducted at Kendall Funeral Home on Saturday, January 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 Saturday, January 2, 2020 in the Kendall Home Funeral Home. A private burial will follow in the Bowyer Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for the tender care of Charles Lowe and the peace and final gifts that only Hospice can give to their lives in these last days.
