Chi Ran "Lee" Johnston, 74 departed this life December 10, 2021 at home, in the loving care of her family and friends, after a long and valiant fight with PSP.  Born in Korea on May 23, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Hyun Ki Lee and Oh Soon Jin Lee.

Lee's proudest moment in life was the moment she became a US Citizen on December 10, 1999.  It also made her proud to have worked at Celanese for 29 years.  Lee practiced her faith in faithful attendance at the Korean Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, VA.  Lee's life was full, as she also enjoyed making crochet spreads, playing Bingo and going to the Casino with family.

In addition to her parents, Lee is preceded in death by her niece, Sumi Seo.

Left to cherish her the strength of her memory to their hearts are her husband of many years, Bobby Johnston; a brother and sister in Korea; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Lucas of Pembroke, Dreama Blankenship of Narrows, VA, and Edith Shepard of Tobaccoville, NC; a nephew, Kwan Seo; and great-nephews, Jene and Nathan Seo of Roanoke, VA.

There will be a celebration of life held to honor Lee's memory in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
