Obituary

CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL DIRICO, 44, of Pembroke, departed this life Friday morning, May 6, 2016, at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg.. Born in Radford on October 29, 1971, he was the son of Joyce Lucas DiRico and the late William Anthony DiRico Sr. of Pembroke. He was a carpenter with 29 years of service with Tayloe Construction. Chris enjoyed hunting in the mountains and streams of Giles County with his dog Niko. He was an avid reader, a collector of memorabilia, and a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He expressed his faith in Christ as a member of Calvary Christian Church.



He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Joyce Lucas DiRico of Pembroke; his son and daughter-in-law Justin and Hannah DiRico of Radford; his brother William Anthony (Tony) DiRico Jr. and his wife Teri of Augusta, GA, their sons Tyler DiRico of Atlanta, GA, and Kaleb DiRico and fiancé Mollie Dawson of Omaha, NE; his sister Sally DiRico and her daughter Keela Dooley of Christiansburg; his cousin Millie Dye of Pembroke; his beloved friend Gloria Hurt of Pembroke; and his friend Keith Stevers of Pembroke, his aunt and uncle Judy and Albert Gillispie of Pembroke.



Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 9, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, VA. Pastor David Kessinger will officiate. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services.
