Clara Josephine Clemens, 89, of Pearisburg, departed this life Wednesday evening, September 5, 2012 at Pulaski Health and Rehab Center in Pulaski. Born in Arista, WV on March 20, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John Albert, Sr. and Bessie Mae Worrell Bouldin. She had been employed at Federal Mogul and had attended Bethel Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands Cecil Carr Blankenship and Paul Eugene Clemens, her son Cecil Carl Blankenship, and her grandchildren Carl Edward Blankenship and Stacy Dewayne Lovell.

"Josie" leaves to cherish her memory her sons Richard M. Blankenship of Pearisburg and David Scott Blankenship of Millers Creek, NC; her daughters Mary Joyce Minton (Archie) of Millers Creek, NC, Lois Faye Perdue (Richard) of Pearisburg, Barbara Diane Young (Richard) of Dublin, Virginia Diane Pennington (Tony) of Glen Lyn; her brother Charles E. Bouldin of Peterstown, WV; her sisters Bertha Martin of Dublin, Loraine Hayes of Pearisburg, Louise Brown of Peterstown, WV, Elizabeth Minton of Narrows; her eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows.
