David Glenn Shrader, 45,of Blankenship Mt Rd in Narrows departed this life Thursday evening, February 1, 2018 in Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem. Born in Blacksburg on October 16, 1972, he was the son of Glenn M and Sharon Rader Shrader of Narrows. He was a member of the 1990 graduating class at Narrows High School (The Green Waves) , was employed at Corning in Blacksburg, and was a member of The First Christian Church in Narrows.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents; his devoted wife of 26 years, Julie Bonds Shrader; his sons Sampson J Shrader and Alexis Wilson of Narrows, Jaeger J Shrader at Narrows; and Nikia J Shrader of Narrows; his daughter Ayasha R J Shrader of Narrows; his sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Donnie Crawford o Narrows; his grandchildren Jazzlyn C Tincher and Malcolm C Shrader; and his nephew Brandon Crawford.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 am in The First Christian Church of Narrows with Pastor James McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday evening from 5 until 7 pm. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
