David Bruce Wallace born on September 1, 1949 in Huntington, Long Island, New York died on November 17, 2017 in Blacksburg, Virginia at his home. A product of the Ithaca, NY city schools, he graduated from Columbia University in 1971 with a BA in art history and from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration in 1978 with an MPS degree in hotel security. After some years of living abroad, he began collecting art and antiques, especially Turkman rugs, and more recently, African art, Russian icons, and Japanese scrolls. Predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Miriam Cavalla Wallace, he is survived by his sister, Roberta Wallace, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Arrangements by Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, Virginia.
