Deborah "Debbie" Neice Cumbee, 66 of Pembroke, VA departed this life September 5, 2023 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Virginia on June 13, 1957 she was a daughter of the late William Neice and Mabel Lang Neice.

Debbie's first love was her family.  Those things which brought peace to her heart were the outdoors and the time she spent making her gardens grow.

In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in life by her sisters, Connie Neice and Clara Neice.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Broadwell; son, Michael Cumbee of Pembroke; daughters, Melissa Dennis of Roanoke, VA, and Crystal Smith (Ron) of Pembroke, VA; grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Hunter Cumbee, Cheyenne Dennis, Jacob Cumbee, and Dustin Cumbee; and a brother, Allen Neice (Brenda) of Dublin, VA.

There will be a funeral service conducted on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Poff officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel.  A guestbook is available to send condolences to the family by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com.  The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Cumbee family.
