Dena Virginia Hill Lucas, 82 formerly of Staffordsville, VA departed this life under the care of Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehab-Rich Creek, September, 25, 2020. Born in Princeton, WV on December 9, 1937, she is a daughter of the late Cauley Hill and Nellie Bruce Hill.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband David Lucas; a sister, Mary Howell; and three brother-in-laws.

She was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus, Pulaski.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, David Wayne Lucas and his fiancé Katherine of Pearisburg; daughters, Brenda Thorton and her husband Gary of Narrows and Janet Blankenship and her husband Daniel "Boone" of Staffordsville; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers Eugene Hill and his wife Mary of Princeton, WV, and Richard Hill and his wife Jennie of Pipestem; sisters, Earnestine Clark of Athens, WV, and Linda Mills of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Louise McGhee of Ohio.

There will be a funeral service held at Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM with pastor Eddie Kendall officiating.
