Dolly Virginia Dowdy Weiss, 78, of Pembroke, departed this life Saturday morning, August 14, 2010 in the loving care of her family at home. Born in Giles County on March 23, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Andy and Maggie Sue Williams Lang. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Billy Dowdy, Roy Dunford, and Haven Weiss, and her nineteen brothers and sisters

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Brenda and her husband Sam Cheatwood of Dublin and Rita Ann Young of Pembroke; her brother Walter Lang of Lynchburg; her seven grandchildren and her ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Fillinger Cemetery at Pembroke.
