Donald Ray Douthat, 65, of Pearisburg, departed this life Saturday morning, September 7, 2013, at the home of his sister and her husband in Christiansburg in their loving care and that of Good Samaritan Hospice. Born in Pearisburg on June 3, 1948 he was a son of the late Walter Ray and Reba Blair Martin Douthat. He had been employed as a tile setter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Dreama Fisher Douthat; his son Donald Derek Douthat of Florida; his sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Merlin Linkous of Christiansburg; his brothers and sisters-in-law Tommy and Peggy Douthat of Pearisburg and Freddie and Susan Douthat of California.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with the Rev. Delores L. Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
