Dorothy Gray Cole, 89 of Fairway St. in Pearisburg, departed this life Friday evening, November 2, 2007 at Highland Ridge Health Care in Dublin. Born in Giles County on July 14, 1918 she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Sheilor Whittaker Morris. She attended Riverview Baptist Church and was retired from the Twisting Department at Celanese Celco Plant at Narrows. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter C. Cole, a daughter Frieda Rebecca Cole, three brothers James, William and John H. Jr. Morris, and three sisters Arleen Johnston, Lula Morris, and Mary Hetherington.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son and daughter-in-law Don W. and Virginia Cole of Pulaski; three grandsons Charles, David, and Mark Cole; five great-grandchildren; and a sister Bea Morris Riddle of Princeton, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 5, 2007 at 7:00 PM in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday evening before the services.
