Dorothy Gale Kanode, 64 of Eggleston, VA departed this life November 4, 2022 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Born in Covington, VA on November 20, 1957 Dorothy was a daughter of the late Anor Price and Gracie Whittaker Price.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by a sister, Violet Lang; brothers, Raymond Price, and Vincent "Richard" Price; and step-daughter, Kristy Kanode.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her husband, David Kanode Sr of 38 years.; step-children, Teresa Kanode, and David Kanode Jr. (Kathy); brother, Earl Whittaker of Blacksburg, VA; a special nephew, Chris Lang and his family; special friends, Curtis and Donna Link; and several other nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral service conducted for Dorothy on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Gary Poff officiating in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will conclude in the Kanode Family Cemetery in Eggleston, VA where she will be laid to rest.  The family will receive friends at Kendall Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  A guestbook is available by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com .  The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Kanode Family.
