Dorothy Ann Lafon, 70, of Snidow St. in Pembroke departed this life Friday morning, January 29, 2010 at her home. Born in Giles County on November 14, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Alice Williams Burk and the late Robert Burk. Dorothy was a faithful member of Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Vernon Lafon.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, best friend, and caregiver Angel Lee Lafon of Pembroke and her son Teddy Wayne Lafon of Princeton, WV; several devoted cousins, and her church family that loved her.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
