Dorsey D. Link, 82, of Narrows, departed this life Friday morning, December 31, 2010 at his home. Born in Pembroke on October 5, 1928 he was a son of the late Estil William and Mary Ashley Link. He had been employed at the Celanese Plant at Narrows in the cafeteria for over fifty-one years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Randy Link, his grandson Neal Link, his granddaughter Elizabeth Neff, and his sisters Peggy Dowdy and Tootsie Merrix.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Vonnie Rakes Link; his daughters Carolyn Link and Mary Davis of Pembroke; his step-children Ken and Kaye Rakes of Narrrows, Bill and Barbara Rakes of Roanoke, Jim and Janet Rakes of Blacksburg; his grandchildren Jason Link and Jessica Bowles of Narrows, Bruce Davis of Riner, Tiffanie and Kenny Epperly of Pearisburg, Crystal Davis and Jason Paul of Radford; his great-grandchildren Jaylyn Bowles, Cheyenne Epperly, Elijiah Paul, and a special nephew and family Jackie Link, Dedra, and Murdock.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in the Fillinger Cemetery at Pembroke.
