Edna Mae Parcell Hughes of Old Virginia Avenue in Rich Creek departed this life Friday morning, June 9, 2018 at her home in the loving care of her family and hospice. Born in Pearisburg on September 23, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Hubert Parcell and Bertha Perdue Parcell Moran. She had been employed as a retail clerk for Wal-Mart and a seamstress at the sewing plant, and enjoyed reading and camping. She was preceded in death by her siblings Garnett Parcell, Elizabeth Masters, and a grandson Dustin Lancaster.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Gerald W Hughes; her children Rene Crotty, James Harris, Scott Harris, Lisa Marshall, and michelle Morgan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
