Edna Kathleen Langford of Pembroke and Christiansburg, departed this life quietly in her sleep Saturday morning, March 22, 2014, at her home in Christiansburg. Born in the Kire Community of Giles County on July 14, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Hobert and Ethel Dowdy Lafon. A beloved wife, mother and homemaker, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond E. Langford, and her brothers McKinley, Bobby "Timer", James, and Eugene Lafon.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Jacquiline L. Venteicher of Christiansburg and Vicki J Langford of Daleville; her sons James Lynn Langford of Pearisburg and Gary Wayne Langford of Pittsburgh, PA; her sister Rowena L Crockett of Narrows; her eight grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 pm in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends after the service at the gravesite. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
