Edwin Eugene Lafon, 70, of Newport (Clover Hollow) departed this life Saturday morning, February 21, 2015 at his home. Born in Pearisburg on March 8, 1944, he was a son of Frances Sexton Lafon of Newport and the late Berlin Eugene Lafon. He was retired from Huff Oil Co., in Pulaski.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Jean Macy Lafon; his mother Frances Lafon; his daughter Shannon Lafon of Wytheville; his step sons Scott Vest of Fairlawn, Greg Vest of Wytheville, and Bill Macy of Georgia; his sisters Betty Lou Lafon of Christiansburg and Judy Sue Hager and her husband Charles of Dublin; and his six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday, February 27, 2015 at 7:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
