Elgin Wayne Midkiff, 63 of Staffordsville, VA departed this life October 30, 2021; surrounded by his loving family and in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Born November 4, 1957 in Pearisburg, VA; he was a son of the late Newton Midkiff, Sr. and Lucy Warden Midkiff.

Elgin was known to be a lover of the outdoors and would always take the opportunity to participate in Karaoke.

Elgin is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Francis Midkiff, Dallas Clowers, John Midkiff, Tommy Midkiff; a sister-in-law, Debbie Midkiff; and in laws, Evelina Williams, and Larry Bowman.

Left to cherish his memory and tell Elgin stories are his wife, Anna Jones Midkiff; a son, Spencer Midkiff and his fiancée, Crystal Dawn Blankenship; brothers, Newton Junior Midkiff, Jr. (Mae Bell Midkiff), Ricky (Dreama) Midkiff, Joe (Wilma) Midkiff, Jessie Midkiff, and Jimmy (Barbara) Midkiff; sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Carver, Hallie "Polly" Johnson (Wendell), Laura "Jane" Cook, and Gladys McCauley; a mother-in-law, Maggie Jones of Staffordsville; in-laws, Roger and Vanessa Jones of Rich Creek, Susan and Gary Moore, and Cindy Bowman of Christiansburg, VA;  several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
