. Elizabeth Ann Hale, 46, of Bobcat Lane in Blacksburg, and formerly of Pearisburg, departed this life at her home Saturday morning, May 16, 2009 after a long illness. Born in Radford on March 11, 1963 she was a daughter of Richard George Albert, Sr. and the late Mildred Mary Trail Albert.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her father Richard George Albert, Sr. of Pembroke; her husband of thirty years Carl Edward "Sherman" Hale; her daughter and fiancé Jessica Hale and Jamie Whitt of Pearisburg; her son Carl Jackson Hale of Blacksburg; her granddaughters Cathryne Marie Hale of Blacksburg and Nicole Grace Whitt of Pearisburg; her brothers and sisters-in-law George Richard and Cheryl Albert of Rich Creek, David Lee and Louann Albert of Dublin, Robert Lee Albert of Pembroke, Brian Keith Albert of Pembroke; her sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Ann and Haven Montgomery of Dublin, Nancy and Steve Rice of Pembroke, Judy and Tim Bane of Pearisburg

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 18, 2009 at 8:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM, two hours before the funeral.
