Eula Mae Carter Williams, 83 passed away December 29, 2022 in the care of her family.  Born November 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Pansy Carter of Goldbond, VA.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Stanley Cumbee; and brothers, Walter (Sonny) Carter, Weldon (Johnny) Carter, and Donald (Bob) Carter.

She was the wife of the late Grady Williams with whom she had three children.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnny R. Williams of Christiansburg; her two daughters, Deborah Cumbee, and Kathy and Benny Williams of Pembroke, VA; her brother, William H. Carter of Hereford, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Theida and Garnett Darnell , and Nona and Jon Oakes of Goldbond; five grandchildren, Tess Williams, Brian Cumbee, Justin Williams, Ryan Williams, and Cody Bowers; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked many years in the cafeteria at Pembroke Elementary School.  Later in life, she took CNA classes and retired from Giles Memorial Hospital after 20 years of service.  She attended The Church of Jesus Christ in Pembroke, VA.

A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, Brian Cumbee officiating.  Funeral services will conclude at Birchlawn Burial Park.  The family will receive friends at Kendall Funeral Home on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for all of their support.  A guestbook is available to send condolences by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com .   The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Williams family.
