Frances Evelyn Collins, 63, of Collins Road, Pembroke, departed this life Thursday evening, January 24, 2019 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Giles County on May 15, 1955 she was a daughter of the late Matthew, Sr. and Bertie St Clair Dalton. She had been employed in housekeeping at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Eddie and Jackie Dalton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 45 years, Charles Eugene "Deanie"Collins; her beloved son Charles Eugene Jr "Charlie" Collins of Pembroke; her "daughter" Amanda Taylor Wooton; her brothers Buster Dalton of Narrows, Leroy Dalton (Carol) of Pembroke, Kenny Dalton of Pearisburg; her half-brother Junior Harris of Big Stoney Creek; and lots of neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 28, 2019, at 11:00 am, in The Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. Pembroke, with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
