Obituary

Frances Wall Tate Ramsey, 81, of Pulaski and formerly of the Clendennin Community near Narrows, departed this life for the Presence of The Lord in the loving care of her family at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center Monday morning February 26, 2007. Born in Pulaski County on January 20, 1926 she was a daughter of the late William McKinley and Ossie Mae King Wall. She was a devoted member of Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin when she lived there and The Church of Jesus in Newbern in recent years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Clifton S. Tate and Jefferson Ramsey, a sister Shirley W. Ramsey, three brothers Marvell, Lester and Virgil Wall, and a step-daughter Hope Hudson.



She leaves to cherish her memory four children Cleveland S. and his wife Kathy Tate of Narrows, Melvin W. and his wife Katrina Tate of Pulaski, Alma T. and her husband Frankie Warden of Pulaski, Monica Lee and her husband Charlie Sanders of Narrows; a step-daughter Rebakah Taylor (Junior) of Pulaski; sisters Betty Akers(Danny) and Sally Riddle (Lewis) both of Dublin; six grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor J. P. Hale and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
