Obituary

Frank Miller (Buddy) Carbaugh, 73, of Eggleston River Road, Eggleston, departed this life Wednesday evening, August 22, 2012 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Giles County on May 2, 1939 he was a son of the late Frank Ollar and Virgie Bailey Carbaugh. He was a skilled workman in many areas, working for the Town of Blacksburg, but his heart was always at his family home place farm on New River. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife Martha Merrix Carbaugh.



He leaves to cherish his memory his sons and daughters-in-law David and Teresa Carbaugh of Shawsville, Danny and Jean Carbaugh of Eggleston, Doug and Linda Carbaugh of Newport, his daughter and son-in-law Carol and George Atkins of Maybrook; his grandchildren Jeff Atkins, Amanda and Justin Weikle, Alan-Michael Carbaugh, Patrick and Shaun Carbaugh; his great-grandchildren Allissia and Andrew Weikle; his sisters and brothers-in-law Shirley and Dickie Lucas, Sue and Fred Thompson, and Jane Carbaugh.



Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Merrell Hedrick and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow at the Croy Cemetery at Goodwins Ferry (Newport). The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
