Franklin Delano Neely, 73, of Pearisburg, departed this life Sunday morning March 15, 2009 at his home after a long illness. Born in West Virginia on March 6, 1935 he was a son of the late John T. and Manora Ellen Neely. Frank was retired from The Town of Pearisburg as Superintendent of Public Works with 34 years service. He was a devoted member and pillar of The Church of Jesus Christ in Pembroke and very active in The Lord's work. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers John and Dewey Neely.

He leaves to cherish his memory his lifelong friend and caregiver Elsie Williams and numerous nieces and nephews in both Frank and Elsie's Families.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Bishop Paul Rose of The Church of Jesus Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services (from 12 until 2 PM).
