Georgia Annette Williams, 96, of Pembroke, the last remaining child of Charles H. and Hattie Rowe Habernigg passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Heritage Hall in Rich Creek. Mrs. Williams was born in Giles County on April 3, 1925. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Lee Williams and her siblings, Roscoe Habernigg, Cromer Habernigg, Pauline Frazier, Joanna Myers, Dorothy Harless Tolimson.

Mrs. Williams was a retiree of the Celanese Corporation and she and her husband Jack were the founders of Hilltop Grocery. Mrs. Williams was also a charter member of the Mt. Olivet Methodist Church in Newport, VA.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Ronald Lee Williams of Pembroke and Pat and Elleen Johnson whom she thought of as her children and Barbara and R.B. Williams her vacation buddies and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Williams will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Morris Fleischer and Eddie Kendall officiating. An entombment will take place in the Birchlawn Burial Park Abbey in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 4 – 6 P.M. at the funeral home.
