Grady Brown Williams, 64, of Rocky Hollow Road in Pembroke, died Friday evening January 7, 2005 at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Giles County on February 7, 1939 he was a son of the late Sam H. and Ruby Cumbee Williams. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Pembroke and was preceded in death by three brothers Richard, Joe, and LeRoy Williams and a son-in-law Stanley Cumbee.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son Johnny R. Williams of Christiansburg; two daughters Debbie W. Cumbee of Pembroke and Kathy W. Williams and husband Benny of Pembroke; four sisters Elsie Williams of Pearisburg, Barbara W. Heathcoat of Gainsville, FL, Sylvia Johnson of Pembroke, Carol Edwards of Chesapeake ; a beloved friend Frank Neely of Pearisburg; five grandchildren Tess Williams, Justin Williams, Brian Cumbee, Cody Williams, Ryan Williams; three great-grandchildren Rileigh Williams, Alexia Williams, Nathaniel Pressly.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Benny Edwards and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
