Greta Louise Fitzgerald Griffith, 74, of Clendennin Road at Narrows, died Friday morning July 14, 2006 at Pulaski Community Hospital in Pulaski after a long illness. Born in Narrows on April 2, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Patrick Parnell and Sadie Blackburn Fitzgerald. A beloved mother and neighbor she was preceded in death by her husband Edd Junior Griffith, a son Eddie Joe "Buddy" Griffith, a sister Mary Dickerson, two brothers Jack Blackburn and Thermon Fitzgerald.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband "Bill" William Sam Griffith; a son and daughter-in-law David and Kelle Griffith of Dublin; three daughters and sons-in-law Linda Jean and Joel Dillion of Lashmeet, WV, Barbara Gaye and Pete Whitaker of Pulaski, "Scout" Carolyn Jane and Don Whitaker of Pulaski; a sister Iva Jean Wilson of Christiansburg; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
