Hazel Marie Montgomery, 56, of Roanoke and formerly of Pembroke died Monday morning at her home in the loving care of her family. Born in Pearisburg on August 28, 1948, she was a daughter of "Jack" William G. Ratcliffe of Pembroke and the late Orpha Lee Stoner Ratcliffe and step-daughter of Ruth Reed Ratcliffe of Pembroke. She had been employed as office manager at Duncan Automotive.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Jacqueline Jones of Pembroke; a son and daughter-in-law David Patrick and Jane Montgomery of Manassas; a grandchild King D. Jones; her father "Jack" William G. and step-mother Ruth Reed Ratcliffe of Pembroke; three sisters Carol Ross of Pembroke, Susan Pugh of Wirtz, Jo Anne Williams of Lebanon, MO; and her best friend "Munchkins".

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Ratcliffe Cemetery at Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
