Henry Lynwood Hopkins, Sr., 75, of Springdale Rd., Pearisburg, departed this life Saturday morning, January 1, 2011 at his home. Born in Giles County on June 14, 1935, he was a son of the late Snow Dennis and Mary Lillian Howell Hopkins. He had been employed as a carpenter in construction and loved all things pertaining to Native American Culture. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Herbert D. Hopkins, Sr, and his sisters Stella H. Wright and Dorothy H. Simpkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Margaret Ann Lyons Hopkins; his sons Henry Dean Hopkins of Pearisburg and Tommy Lane Hall of Pearisburg; his brother Leo Hopkins of Vinton, and his sister Ruby Clear of Pearisburg.

The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Following Henry's request there will be no formal service and his remains will be cremated. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
