Herman Junior McCroskey, 81, of Monroe St., Pearisburg, departed this life Friday, January 18, 20i13 at Lewis-Gale Pulaski Hospital in Pulaski. He was born in Giles County on June 8, 1931, a son of the late Herman Henry and Annie Kirk McCroskey , was retired from RAAP and had worked a Leas-McVitty Tannery at Bluff City. He was a veteran of the U S Army, Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by a brother Jim Henry Kirk.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary M. McCroskey; his son and daughter-in-law James G. (Jimmie) and Rhonda Lawson McCroskey of Narrows ,his granddaughter Camry E. McCroskey of Narrows, and his sister Beulah Bailey of Rich Creek.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 6:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services. Burial will be private in the McCroskey Cemetery at Interior in Giles County.
