I B Terry, Sr., 94, of Hilltop Road, Pearisburg, departed this life Thursday afternoon, August 27, 2015 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Hardburly, KY on April 28, 1921 he was the last of nine children born to Adam and Elizabeth Jones Terry. He was employed until his retirement at the Celanese Plant at Narrows and served five years during WW II in the United States Army. He was the devoted husband for over 68 years to the late Ella Gertrude Martin Terry, a Newport native.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons and daughters-in-law I B Terry Jr. and Regina of Danville, VA, Danny Terry and Rita Manning of Pearisburg, VA, his four grandchildren, his five great-grandchildren and his two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, August 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the services.
